Steve Adams has 20 years of experience in professional media and journalism.
Steve studied Media and Journalism at Darlington College in 1999. Later, he studied Professional Media at University in Cheltenham, graduating with a 1st Class BA Honours degree.
His final portfolio of creative work received the Factor 3 Prize, plus a prestigious D&AD Best New Blood award at an exhibition hosted in London.
Steve gained an internship at Saatchi & Saatchi London before spending 4 years working on content for global brands including Hewlett Packard, Shell, Nike, and Louis Vuitton.
Notable experiences followed as content lead for sports brand Enertor, construction industry body CRL, and as a lead writer for Comparitech.
All three roles spanned several years and provided valuable experience in content planning, research, and production, alongside CMS expertise.
Steve’s career has evolved to develop content with publications like Men’s Fitness Magazine, Spaces Magazine, Reader’s Digest, and popular business and culture websites.
Specific areas of interest for stories include culture, sport, health, technology, travel, the environment and food. Steve also works on gear reviews and comparisons (getting hands-on with products thanks to good relationships with PR teams).
Outside of work, Steve enjoys reading, history, podcasts, TV, and movies, cooking, watching sports, and exploring the Yorkshire countryside.
